Willkie Inn Fraternity Officers and Executive Board 2009-2010

Magister, Sonya Brown

Sonya grew up in Pendleton, Indiana. She attended undergrad at Indiana University in Bloomington. Sonya spent four months in Auckland, New Zealand as a student teacher. Sonya is currently a 3L and is involved in Phi Delta Phi, Environmental Law Society, Equal Justice Works, and the Indianapolis Bar Association. She spent last summer as a law clerk at the ACLU of Indiana and is currently working part-time for the general counsel at Baldwin & Lyons.

Vice Magister (Day), Raphael Ortega

Raphael is a 2L day student from New York City. He received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers where he studied Political Science and Sociology. During his 1L summer Raphael studied abroad in Croatia with the IU-Indy program, worked for the Federal Defender, and represented Phi Delta Phi at the national convention in New Orleans. Raphael is currently working at the NCAA Headquarters as a law clerk for the general counsel.

Vice Magister (Night), Brad Hoffeditz

Brad is a 3L evening student from St. Louis, Missouri. He attended University of Central Missouri where he studied criminal justice and aviation. After college, Brad spent several years as a State Trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. During his 1L year, Brad worked for the Indiana Department of Revenue in the Inheritance Tax Division. He is currently working as a legal assistant for the Indiana State Police Legal Office. In his spare time, Brad enjoys biking, tennis, soccer, photography, and cooking.

Treasurer, Sarah Jacobson

Sarah is a 3L day student who grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma. She attended Purdue University where she studied Psychology and Law & Society. While at Purdue, she spent five weeks studying in Florence, Italy. Following her graduation in 2006, Sarah worked as a paralegal for a year for Bratch & O'Ryan in Indianapolis. Currently, Sarah works for Lewis and Wilkins, as well as being involved in Phi Delta Phi and the Environmental Law Society. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, shopping, reading, skiing, running, and spending time with her friends.

Clerk, Amy Halsey

Amy is a 2L day student from Houston, Texas. She attended Rice University where she was captain of the varsity swim team and graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and a B.A. in English. This past summer, Amy worked as a summer associate at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic. Her work there focused on developing expungement and pardon programs for lower-income Indianapolis residents. She is interested in a career in health law and will be interning at Methodist Hospital in the medical ethics center this fall. She is also serving as secretary of the Student Bar Association and as a pro bono volunteer at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic. In her spare time, Amy loves to run, waterski sing, and spend time with her friends and family.

Historian, Jessica Miller

Jessica is a 3L evening student from North Platte, Nebraska. She attended Marian College in Indianapolis where she obtained her B.A. in Political Science and with a minor in French. While attending IU-Indy, Jessica has been active in Phi Delta Phi, the Dean's Tutorial Society, Moot Court, and the Trial Advocacy Team. This past summer, Jessica participated in the law school's Croatian study abroad program. She then returned to U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Assistant Chief Counsel, where she is a legal intern.

SBA Representative, Andrea White

Andrea is a 2L day student from Zionsville, Indiana. She attended Purdue University and graduated with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. She spent the summer after her 1L year working for the Indiana Attorney General's Office as a Law Clerk for the Medical Licensing Section of the Consumer Protection Division, and she will continue on there during her 2L year.

Alumni and Networking Chair, Grant McCoy

Grant is from Evansville/Newburgh, Indiana. He graduated in 2004 from Memorial High School where he played soccer. Grant then went to IU-Bloomington and graduated in 2008. He is entering his 2nd year at IU-Indy and has interests in health and criminal law.

Philanthropy Chair, Erin Romer

Erin grew up in Indianapolis and is an alumna of North Central High School. After graduating from Boston University, where she pursued an independent major in Ecology and Environmental Policy, she returned home for two years to figure out her next step. After three years at the University of Georgia, Erin is one Master's Defense away from her degree. She returned to Indianapolis so that she could attend law school while living near her family and is now in her 2L year. Erin is on the Executive Board of Phi Delta Phi, Equal Justice Works, and the Environmental Law Society. She is also involved with the Women's Caucus and the Animal Law Society.

Scholarship Chair, Marie Alexander

Marie is a 3L day student from Connersville, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, and a minor in Business. She spent the summer as a law clerk for Kightlinger and Gray. In her spare time, Marie enjoys running, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and spending time with her friends and family.

Social Chair, Stephanie Freiwald

Stephanie is a 2L day student who grew up in Clarkston, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan where she studied Industrial and Operations Engineering. While at Michigan she was an active member of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Following her graduation in 2007, Stephanie worked as an Engineering Consultant for IET in Toledo. Currently, Stephanie works for Attorney Fred Scott, as well as being involved in Phi Delta Phi. Stephanie also enjoys traveling, swimming, reading, and cooking.
